Keeping in mind that medical concerns related to Umrah in Ramadan 2018, Umrah 2018, and Saudi Arabs needs the pilgrims to get vaccinated against the following infections, diseases and viral, etc:


Vaccination against Meningococcal Meningitis:


A certificate of vaccination is needed to be presented by adults and children over the age of two years reaching for the purpose of Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage. The requirement for the medical certificate to be valid is that it must be issued not more than 3 years and no less than 10 days proceeding to arrival in Saudi Arabia.


Vaccines for Umrah 2018 (Recommended)


All the pilgrims should ensure that they are updated with the recommended immunizations for life. (For instance in the UK it is necessary for a traveller to have 5 doses of tetanus vaccine and five doses of polio vaccine.)   • Avoid the eating of under-cooked meat or food cooked under unsanitary conditions. Make sure to correctly wash vegetables and fruit before eating them.
  • In crowded places try to wear mask over your mouth and nose (not wear while performing the Umrah and Hajj).
  • Sustain superior personal hygiene.
  • Keep away from insects and animals.
